After all those strike days at french museums, some of theme started to open their doors to visitors again. Pompidou Center, Paris had to cancel so many events related with “Saison De La Turquie En France” (July 2009 – March 2010) because of strikes. One of those events was the video screening and debate panel with turkish artists Canan Şenol, Köken Ergun, Erkan Özgen, Şener Özmen, Berat Işık, under the title of “ Turquie et Alors…”. Event reflects conceptually aesthetic, sociopolitical and artistic perception of these artists, and it supposed to happen on 14th of December in this month. Pompidou anounced that “Turquie et Alors…” eventually will be screened on 29th of March, 2010.
On the line-up of organisation, some video works are very well known from Istanbul art scene such as Canan Senol’s “İbretnûma” which took place at 11th International Istanbul Biennial as well, and Koken Ergun’s “Tanklove” which was projected at “Coup” exhibition at Outlet Gallery, Istanbul too. Five very tallented and famous turkish artists will present their latest works at “Turquie et Alors…” on 29th of March, 2010 at Pompidou Center, Paris.
